Your anxiety, energy, focus, and stress response aren’t random.

At we now offer “The Works” genetic testing, one of the most comprehensive panels available. This test helps us understand how your body uniquely processes stress, mood, energy, and metabolism so care can be more personalized, not one-size-fits-all.

The panel offers insight into areas like stress and cortisol response, neurotransmitters that influence mood and focus, inflammation and detox pathways, blood sugar regulation, nutrient needs, and more.
Because personalized care starts with understanding your biology.

OCD isn’t the thought, it’s the cycle.

Intrusive thought → anxiety → compulsion → temporary relief → repeat.

Understanding the loop is the first step toward breaking it. 💛

Sometimes anxiety is actually burnout wearing a mask.

Signs it might be burnout:
• Irritability instead of worry
• Numbness instead of panic
• Exhaustion instead of hypervigilance

Your nervous system may be asking for rest, not more pushing. Save this for later or send it to someone who could use this information.

This is one of the questions I get asked most often:
Should I start with individual therapy or couples therapy?

If you’re in a relationship and thinking about therapy, this decision can feel confusing and even overwhelming. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer, and the “right” place to start often depends on more than people realize.

In this video, I share my general recommendation and why I often guide clients the way I do. If you’ve ever wondered where to begin, I hope this brings some clarity.

Save this for later or share it with someone who’s been asking the same question. 🤍

My two words for this year are grit and connection. Grit isn’t about powering through or proving how much we can handle in isolation. Real grit is built when we stay engaged through discomfort and allow ourselves to be supported while we do it. Connection is what strengthens our resilience. It gives us perspective, accountability, and the courage to keep going when things feel heavy.

This year, I want to build grit in the ways that matter most so I can be a better therapist, a more present mom, a more intentional friend. Grit doesn’t mean hardening. It means staying open, grounded, and committed to growth.

We don’t get to the next level by doing it alone. We build grit through connection and we rise together. 💛

Thank you to my people who love me and push me to be a better version of myself every single day.

Holiday breaks can throw kids’ sleep completely off, and that’s more normal than we think. What matters most isn’t keeping a perfect schedule, it’s keeping a consistent rhythm, especially at bedtime.

Zoe Sheehan, certified school counselor and LPC Associate, shares simple ways to support your child’s nervous system during breaks, like protecting the wind-down routine and staying mindful of screens before bed. Structure doesn’t have to mean strict. It can look like calm, predictability, and connection.

Save this for the next school break or share it with a parent who’s trying to get sleep back on track. 😴💛

As we step into a new year, it can be tempting to rush straight into goals and plans. But this moment also offers a meaningful pause for reflection.

At Well Mind Body, we see reflection as a way to honor where you’ve been, acknowledge the growth that may not always be visible, and set gentle, values-aligned intentions for what’s ahead. Growth doesn’t have to be loud or linear to matter. ✨

If you’re starting this year feeling thoughtful, curious, or even a little unsure, Dr. Miller explores a more compassionate approach to reflection and intention-setting in her blog, read it here: https://www.wellmindbody.co/the-well-spring/reflecting-on-growth-embracing-the-journey-and-setting-intentions-for-the-new-year?rq=reflection

Meet Zoe Sheehan! is a certified school counselor and LPC Associate, supervised by Dr. Elizabeth Miller, and an important part of our Well Mind Body team.

Zoe works primarily with kids, teens, and young adults, supporting them through life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem, boundary-setting, and social stressors, while also helping parents navigate those conversations with care.

Zoe’s work is deeply person-centered and integrative, drawing from IFS, parts work, CBT, and strength-based approaches. What matters most to her is making sure clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported as they learn to work with their emotions instead of against them.

We’re grateful to have Zoe on our team and for the steady, thoughtful presence she brings to the work every day!

If 2025 was heavy, you don’t have to carry it into 2026 alone. Asking for help isn’t a resolution, it’s a next step.

We live in a culture that praises independence and resilience, but just because you can handle something on your own doesn’t mean you have to. Self-reliance can be a strength, but it can also quietly lead to stress, exhaustion, and carrying more than is sustainable.

If the holidays stirred up emotions or left you feeling overwhelmed, support is allowed. You don’t have to have it all figured out to reach out. Sometimes the bravest step forward is letting yourself be supported.

Spending time with family can bring joy, connection, and warmth. It can also bring up a lot of emotions, old dynamics, and moments where your needs didn’t feel fully seen or respected.

If you’re feeling a little off, drained, or unsettled after the holidays, you’re not alone. Often, it’s not about the gathering itself. It’s about unclear or missing boundaries.

Boundaries aren’t walls. They’re a guidebook. They help everyone understand how we want to interact, communicate, and care for one another so relationships feel safer, more respectful, and more authentic.

Before the next family gathering, it can help to reflect on the kinds of boundaries that support your well-being. Clarity creates connection, and care for yourself creates space to show up more fully for others.

If you’re ready to explore boundaries in a supportive space, therapy can help. Reach out to learn more or read our blog to learn more. https://www.wellmindbody.co/the-well-spring/what-are-boundaries-why-do-we-need-them?rq=boundary
