Houston Metro Urology was founded in 2006 as the result of a merger of several established practices in and around the city of Houston. Since the merger, Houston Metro Urology has grown to include Urologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, and Radiologists who collaborate across multiple locations to provide comprehensive care for men and women who are experiencing genitourinary conditions and have concerns about their s*xual health. In 2006, the practice opened a radiation therapy center for prostate cancer patients. The center, treating several hundred prostate cancer patients yearly, is well known for its advanced technology and state of the art cancer treatment. In addition, HMU provides the entire spectrum of urologic services.

Meet Our Team | Michael Mineo, M.D.

A native Houstonian, Dr. Mineo received his Bachelor of Science in biology from Trinity University in San Antonio and returned to Houston for medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He then completed his residency training in general surgery and urology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

A respected physician on our team of Houston urologists, Dr. Mineo is skilled in leading-edge procedures and surgeries to improve patients’ quality of life.
