3 Quick Mindfulness Exercises for Anxiety (You Can Do Right Now!)

Anxiety doesn't wait for the perfect moment—so neither should your relief. Here are three grounding techniques you can use anytime, anywhere:

🌿 **Box Breathing** (2 minutes)
Breathe in for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Repeat 5 times. This signals your nervous system that you're safe.

🌿 **5-4-3-2-1 Grounding**
Name 5 things you see, 4 you can touch, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, 1 you taste. This brings you back to the present moment.

🌿 **Progressive Muscle Relaxation** (3 minutes)
Tense each muscle group for 5 seconds, then release. Start with your toes, move up to your head. Your body releases what your mind can't.

The best exercise? The one you'll actually *do.* Pick one and practice it today—even when you're not anxious. That way, when anxiety shows up, your nervous system already knows the drill.
