Dear Valued Families,
We are writing to inform you of some necessary adjustments to our office. We understand that changes like these can be concerning, and we want to be transparent about the reasons behind them and how they will impact you.
Providing the highest quality pediatric care for your children is our top priority. In recent years, the costs of running our practice have significantly increased. These rising costs include everything from medical supplies and equipment to staffing, insurance, and maintaining our facilities. We have absorbed these increases for as long as possible, but to continue providing the level of care you expect and deserve, we need to make some adjustments.
Fee Adjustments:
Earlier this year, we updated our fee schedule for the first time since 2020. An updated fee schedule will be available at the front desk and can be emailed to you as well.
Phone calls during office hours may now be assessed an Evaluation and Management code as allowed by insurance companies. These codes went into effect Jan 1, 2025. Charging for calls will depend on the length of time the provider requires to answer your medical questions. Calls under 5 minutes or calls that lead to a same day or next day appointment will not be assessed any fee. We encourage you to discuss any questions you may have with our staff as we learn how insurance companies want these codes to be utilized.
After-Hours Call Policy:
We also want to inform you of a change to our after-hours call policy. While we understand the need for access to care outside of regular business hours, providing this service has become increasingly costly. Therefore, we will be implementing a fee of $25 for after-hours calls to our nurse triage service or the on-call physician effective April 1, 2025.
This fee will help us ensure that we can continue to offer this service while maintaining appropriate staffing levels to address urgent medical needs. We encourage you to utilize our portal for non-urgent questions or call during regular office hours for routine questions and concerns.
Concierge Choice Members:
Routine phone calls during office hours or after hours will not be assessed any extra fees for our Concierge Choice Families. For more information regarding the Concierge Choice program, email members@ccpmd.com or call 877.888.5590.
