Dr. Stacey Wells

Dr. Stacey Wells Dr. Stacey Wells is dedicated to educating people about health, diet and exercise, obesity, and how to live a healthier, longer, happier life.

About 4 out of 5 African-American women are either overweight or obese. What's even scarier is that research has shown that most of these overweight or obese women actually think they are healthy and making healthy choices. This one example of miseducation in the Black community is the whole point of this page: to spread awareness, educate and hopefully, encourage some weight loss and healthy livi

ng. Maybe, together, in the near future, we can help to change our culture of unhealthy eating and sedentary lifestyle, so that Blacks are no longer at the forefront of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, and stroke - all obesity-related and easily preventable diseases. Help me make it happen! Spread the word about this page!

Health Reconstructed

Embracing a plant-based diet means eating mostly fruits, vegetables, beans, lentils and whole grains. This diet has not only been shown to prevent disease, but in many cases of preventable, obesity-related illness, it has been shown to cure disease. About 4 out of 5 African-American men and women are either overweight or obese, and what's even scarier is that research shows most of these overweight or obese people actually think they are healthy and making healthy choices with every meal. There has clearly been a detrimental miseducation in our community. As a result, African-Americans are at the forefront of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and stroke. Changing our diet and lifestyle can improve these statistics, not only for our quality of life, but for the wellbeing of our progeny. With every post or video on this page, I wish to help educate the masses about the possibility of healing oneself from within to live a healthier, happier, and longer life.
