Home Is Where Mom Is — Our Mother’s Day Brunch at The Village Of The Heights filled the room with families, full hearts, and plates prepared with love. This special gathering brought loved ones together to celebrate and honor the incredible women we call Mom. The air was filled with warm laughter, heartfelt conversations, and the joy of being side by side. We wrapped up the month on a healthy note with our monthly outing with Great Age Movement! A few newcomers joined us this time to see what the fuss is all about—and they jumped right in.

Outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine, each resident stayed active at different stations throughout this wonderful outdoor fitness park designed just for older adults. We are so grateful to be part of a program created especially for seniors here in Houston.

Lunch afterward helped everyone refuel and gave us time to relax together after a great workout.

What an amazing night at our Culture of the Heights Jazz Fest!
The jazz trio was stellar, and the room came alive as residents, family members, and friends jived to the tunes—clapping, singing, and completely immersed in the experience.

Another highlight of the evening was our signature drink, the Sparkling Berry Jazz Cocktail, served by our very busy bartender—our Executive Director! Guests loved every sip as much as the music.

After the performance, the musicians were surrounded with thanks and appreciation from residents who didn’t want the night to end. The whole room was buzzing with energy and joy.

April 20 was Volunteer Recognition Day, and with their busy high school schedules, it took a little time before we could finally catch up to all three to give them their appreciation gifts.

This was just a small thank-you for the big commitment they show in serving our community. Along with their favorite treats, they received hand-painted canvases created by our residents. The looks on their faces said it all.

Thank you, girls. We look forward to every single visit!
