Our Memory Care Parcside community had an amazing time playing balloon tennis around the big table! Laughter filled the room as residents stayed active, engaged, and smiling.

You can see the pure joy on Maynard's face-- He was clearly having a great time! Things even got a little competitive when Maynard and Jack went head-to-head to grab the hit the balloon when it bounced outside the circle.

Moments like these remind us how important fun, movement, and connection are in memory care.

Dessert Salad Day was a sweet trip down memory lane!
Residents worked in pairs to create three classic favorites: Watergate Salad, Waldorf Salad, and Orange Fluff. As we mixed and stirred, we reminisced about making — and enjoying — these treats back in the day.

For fun, we even tasted Miracle Whip all by itself, bringing back memories of that familiar zingy flavor that was so popular at the time. Every salad was delicious, but Watergate Salad took the top prize!

The winning recipe came from our Life Enrichment Director’s family heritage, with roots dating back over 130 years. What a special way to blend history, memories, and a little sweetness together.

A Joyful Sound of the Season
Our community was filled with Christmas cheer as Ms. Carol played beloved holiday carols on the piano alongside Nadia from Pax Et Vita. Residents joined right in—following along in their songbooks, keeping the beat with hand instruments, and filling the room with smiles and song.

It was a truly interactive and joyful time, full of music, laughter, and togetherness. Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be in bringing hearts together during the holidays.

A Christmas Surprise to Remember!

Our hearts were full during a very special holiday visit with Benny the Therapy Donkey and Santa! Just when we thought the afternoon couldn’t get any sweeter, we were surprised by a visit from local school children who delivered handmade Christmas cards to our residents.

Smiles, laughter, and a few happy tears filled the room as generations connected and holiday cheer was shared. Moments like these truly capture the spirit of the season and remind us that the greatest gifts are kindness, connection, and community.

A Night of Christmas Magic

Our residents enjoyed a truly mesmerizing evening driving around to take in all the beautiful Christmas lights! The sparkling displays, glowing colors, and festive scenes filled the night with wonder and holiday cheer. It was a peaceful, joyful outing and a perfect way to soak in the magic of the season together. These were just a few of our favorite. We loved them all!!!
