When these muscles are overactive they can cause knee pain as well as inhibit hip external roatation. This inhibition can effect gait as well as make it hard to maintain proper form when doing lower body exercises like squats and lunges.

In the first picture Henry's left Quadratus Lumborum is "tight" and doesn't fall below the bottom of the table. Here I would stretch the QL. If Henry's QL was falling as far down as the bottom picture I would consider that position slightly too relaxed and would ask Henry to perform some hip hikes to activate the muscle. Not all muscles need to be stretched and the QL is a muscle that is underactive on a lot of clients.

Stretching a muscle that is already underactive can lead to compensation patterns where it's synergist or antagonist become overactive. Many clients actually come in with the QL on one side of their body being overactive or "tight" and the other side being underactive. This can lead to pain on the underactive side. Clients then begin to stretch the side that hurts which only makes the problem worse.

Terrence is definitely a DIAMOND in the rough!! He truly has a gift of touch. I’ve tried many locations in the greater Houston area, and I received more relief from this one experience than all of the others combined! I feel like 10 years of tension was removed from my body, and my muscles were put back into place. Yes, (as promised by the name) there were painful moments, and soreness after — but discomfort is sometimes necessary for healing! Even days after, I am still feeling sooo good. I look forward to my next session and I’d recommend him a million times over to everyone!

I’d also like to add, the value for the price feels unbeatable!!
