I’ve been at this birth work thing for quite awhile. Although some things have changed- like, business names and structures….my hair colors and styles…where I call “home”…..

I have never lost my passion or love of coffee, mushrooms and birth!

If anything, as I have gained experience and been honored to share in the sacred space of someone “becoming”… my reverence and awe of the beauty that is that threshold crossing- has only deepened.

To all those who have welcomed me into that space- thank you. I am continually humbled by your strength and vulnerability and trust.

To all of you teachers who have guided me and shared your wisdom- I am grateful and open to receiving your lessons, your patience and feedback to help me “become” the next to hold this space with knowledge, reverence and safety.

Do you include crystals and gemstones in your self care practice?

Using crystals to boost your well-being, or adding some gems to your life can increase your positive energy and confidence, or remind you of an intention.

I was just chatting with a friend who is a CNM the other day about the necklace she was wearing- it was identical to one I have that allows you to switch out the crystal you want to wear each day.

Why?

It’s simple.

Folks have sensitivities.
Allergies, reactions and irritations are no fun in labor, and I don’t want to be responsible for causing you discomfort.

So, if you are curious about what oils may be beneficial in labor, I can help you figure that out.
I can also help point you in the right direction to source some of your own, and remind you to pack them in your own bag to have handy on your birthing day.
I even know a few tricks to help you navigate using them in a way that won’t overwhelm you in labor- because that’s what you hire me to do!

This 5 week series offers deeply personalized childbirth education grounded in physiology, advocacy, and embodied preparation.

Using the Birth as Alchemy framework, each session builds upon the last—supporting both knowledge and nervous system readiness.

Classes will meet every Saturday from 5pm to 7pm for 5 weeks (May 2-30) at  BirthCo in Spring, TX.

The hot stone abdominal press. It’s something I have used in my postpartum practice for several years- but I haven’t really shared much about it.

Some of the benefits are as follows:

Aids Digestion and Relieves Constipation: Heat applied to the abdomen can help stimulate the digestive system and ease issues like constipation.

Expels Trapped Air: The warmth and gentle pressure can help release trapped gas and air from the abdominal area.

Postpartum Healing: In some traditional practices, it’s used after childbirth to help the womb return to its normal size faster, warm and nourish the “womb space,” and break up residual blood clots to speed healing (note: should not be used after a C-section without a doctor’s approval).

Releases Organ Tension: The warmth can help release physical and emotional tension in the abdominal organs and promote better function.
