This position manages the overall operations for nursing services and patient care at a Dialyspa hemodialysis facility (chronic) including but not limited to financial management, quality assurance and patient care, safety, risk management, staff member satisfaction, quality index scores, facility maintenance, and other required duties that may arise during the general operations of the facility. This position assures the safe, therapeutic nursing management of the End State Renal Disease patient (ESRD). This position functions as the facility CEO and is responsible for ensuring that the
governing body enforces policies and procedures, is involved in ensuring patient bill of rights is fulfilled, and reviewing the overall functioning of the facility.

Minimum Requirements:
-current Registered Nurse license required
- current CPR certification required
- minimum 5 years dialysis experience preferred

With water and power issues all over the city, some dialysis clinics are having difficulty opening. Your first point of call should be your home clinic. While going to the ER is an option, many hospitals don't have the capacity to provide dialysis or have exceptionally long wait times to do a treatment.

It is critical that you plan ahead knowing that you may not be able to get a treatment for several days and do these things to prevent a health crisis:
1. Limit your fluid. Extra fluid makes your heart have to work harder and make it difficult to breathe.
2. Limit your sodium. Salt will make you thirstier and lead to extra fluid retention.
3. Limit your potassium. Dialysis removes potassium from your blood so when you have to go longer without dialysis, you have to be even more careful to not take in excess potassium. Find the list of high potassium foods your dietitian gave you and avoid foods such as dried fruits, melons, orange juice, bananas, and tomato sauce for example. Remember that too much potassium could cause chest pains and heart attack.
