Ann N Katy’s place was established in 2017 in memory of two great women who touched the hearts in our extended families and community. Our mission is simple, to create a home that provides comfort, care, camaraderie, and compassion so folks can age with dignity and enjoy their golden years worry free. We strive to develop the kind of home that we would want for our own family members and that would make Ann and Katy proud. This is because we see this home as an extension of our homes and community that we have built together over years of friendship.
Both Suzanne and Mercy have experience caring for family and friends in their late years in their own homes with love and dignity. Every day we cook homemade, healthful food, catering to the tastes, preferences, and dietary needs of our clients. We provide activities designed to keep our clients’ minds and bodies healthy and active and to provide them with important social interaction. Research shows that folks who feel productive, useful and loved will live healthier, happier, and longer. Here, we try to foster an environment where people can be themselves and feel at home. In short, we provide the care for your family members that you would if you could. Each of our employees is trained in First Aid, CPA, and is cleared by the FBI. They have each received training on legal responsibilities, dementia care, assistance with medications, food preparation, maintaining a clean and healthy environment, and activities.
Our lovely home, located in the serene desert of Quartz Hill, is a small residential facility with four rooms with six beds, and features an open floor design with a clean spacious kitchen, an adjacent living room, a cozy den, and a backyard with a garden and shaded patio. We are fully licensed by the California Department of Social Services to accommodate up to six residents including up to two that may be nonambulatory. We also hold a business license from the City of Lancaster.
