Happy Earth Day! 🌎

Houston is full of great places to visit outside. Here a few places to hike:

Armand Bayou Nature Center: Located in Pasadena, this 2,500-acre urban wilderness preserve is the largest of its kind in the United States.

Houston Arboretum and Nature Center: Situated within Memorial Park, this 155-acre non-profit arboretum offers over five miles of nature trails through diverse habitats, including forest, pond, wetland, and meadow.

Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary: This 17.5-acre sanctuary along Rummel Creek provides a peaceful retreat with walking trails and a restored log cabin.

Sheldon Lake State Park and Environmental Learning Center: Located in northeast Harris County, this 2,800-acre park offers opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and fishing.

Terry Hershey Park: This expansive park runs parallel to a roughly 6-mile stretch of the Buffalo Bayou in western Houston.

Brazos Bend State Park: A short drive from Houston, this park offers a diverse ecosystem with opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, and observing wildlife such as alligators.
