World Art Day’s is an international celebration of the fine arts, established by the International Association of Art to promote creative expression. The date honors Leonardo da Vinci's birthday, recognizing his lasting impact on the art world. Art has the power to inspire, connect, and bring joy. Art is a wonderful way for families to bond and create lasting memories. Try these fun projects with loved ones:
Collaborative Canvas - Take turns adding colors and designs to a shared canvas, creating a family masterpiece.
Storytelling Through Art - Illustrate a favorite childhood memory through drawings, comics, or watercolor paintings.
Photo Collage & Scrapbooking - Preserve memories by combining photos, drawings, and handwritten notes.
E Upcycled Art - Transform recycled materials into mosaics, sculptures, or mixed-media collages.
World Art Day is a time to embrace creativity and celebrate artistic expression. Whether crafting something simple or creating a masterpiece, the joy of art brings people closer. So pick up a brush, a pen, or scissors, and let your imagination lead the way!

Let’s all welcome April! 🌸 As the days grow brighter and the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time to enjoy simple moments with the people who matter most. Whether it’s sharing a meal, taking a walk, or just spending quality time together, this month brings so many chances to connect and create meaningful memories. April also reminds us to celebrate the little things—caring for our planet on Earth Day, honoring everyday heroes on National Superhero Day, and embracing the joy of new beginnings. Here’s to a month filled with kindness, gratitude, and moments that make us smile.

Did you know that according to the CDC, more than 1 in 3 Americans have prediabetes? This can raise the risk of stroke, heart disease, and Type 2 diabetes. Many people may not even know they have it, which is why awareness is so important. When someone is first diagnosed, checking blood sugar often is very important. It helps them learn how food, activity, stress, and even illness can affect their numbers. Over time, patterns may become easier to understand, but there are still some unexpected things that can cause blood sugar to go up.
Here are six surprising things that can raise blood sugar:
• Sunburn – Pain from a sunburn can cause stress in the body, which may raise blood sugar.
• Artificial sweeteners – Some studies show they may still affect blood sugar, even though they don’t contain sugar.
• Coffee – The caffeine in coffee can raise blood sugar for some people, even without adding sugar.
• Lack of sleep – Not getting enough rest, even for one night, can make it harder for the body to use insulin.
• Skipping breakfast – Missing your first meal can lead to higher blood sugar later in the day.
• Dehydration – Not drinking enough water can make blood sugar levels rise.
Small daily choices can make a big difference. Staying hydrated, eating balanced meals, getting enough rest, and keeping track of blood sugar levels can all help support better health.

It’s American Heart Month! Know the ABCS of Heart Health. Every year, Americans suffer more than 1.5 million heart attacks and strokes. The good news is that you can help reduce your risk and improve your heart health by following the ABCS:
A: Ask your health care professional if aspirin can reduce your risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Be sure to tell your health care professional if you have a family history of heart disease or stroke.
B: Control your blood pressure. Blood pressure measures the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries. High blood pressure increases your risk for heart attack or stroke more than any other risk factor. Find out what your blood pressure numbers are and work with your health care professional to lower it.
C: Manage your cholesterol. Cholesterol is a waxy substance produced by the liver and found in certain foods. Your body needs cholesterol, but when you have too much, it can build up in your arteries and cause heart disease. There are different types of cholesterol: One type is "good" and can protect you from heart disease but another type is "bad" and can increase your risk. Talk to your health care professional about cholesterol and how to lower your bad cholesterol if it's too high.
S: Don't smoke. Smoking raises your blood pressure, which increases your risk for heart attack and stroke. If you smoke, quit. Talk with your health care professional about ways to help you stick with your decision. It's never too late to quit.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
Super Bowl Sunday isn’t always about the final score… it’s about being present. It’s an opportunity to gather around a shared table, enjoy a good meal, laugh at the commercials, and soak in the energy of the moment together. Whether you’re watching every play, just the commercials or just enjoying the half time show, these simple moments of connection remind us that taking time to be together, relax, and have fun is an important part of caring for ourselves and one another because well-being is built in the moments we share.
