Irlen Syndrome is a visual processing difficulty that affects around 15% of the general population including gifted students. The Irlen method can also help 46% of those with Dyslexia, reading problems, learning difficulties. Around 1/3 of those with ADD/ADHD and 1/2 of those with Autism and Asperger Syndrome can also benefit along with people suffering from concussions/headaches. The Irlen Method
involves a set of procedures to find a particular color of overlay (clear plastic sheet) that alleviates visual distortions/brightness on the page when reading. The second stage of the Irlen Method is finding a precise Filter color (worn as glasses) that blocks the part of the light spectrum that is resulting in visual overload for that particular client. The spectral filters help alleviate light sensitivity and environmental problems such as visual distortions and depth perception issues. Services offered by this Clinic:
