Paging Dr. Bear 🧸 – our annual Teddy Bear Clinics are just around the corner! 🩺🏥

These family-friendly events will familiarize your child with doctor's visits and clinical procedures using the free teddy bear your child will receive and kid-friendly medical equipment. Some locations will have a special hour reserved for sensory-sensitive children and families seeking less stimulation/crowds.

Texas Children’s Hospital - West Campus: March 1st, 9am-11am

Texas Children’s Hospital - The Woodlands: March 22nd, 9am-12pm, sensory hour 9am-10am

Texas Children’s Hospital - North Austin: March 29th, 9am-12pm

Angus and Meg, who have comforted so many patients and families here at Texas Children’s, are moving on. And while we’re sad to see them go, we’re deeply thankful for the smiles they brought, the kindness they shared and the warmth they exuded.

This past weekend, we hosted a Patient Community Day with the US Pain Foundation at Texas Children's Hospital West Campus! The multidisciplinary team presented topics such as pacing, coping through pain, medical gaslighting, and mindfulness. Thank you to all our patient families for sharing your stories and joining such an amazing event.

"It was just great overall knowing that my child is not alone, my family is not alone, and I appreciate you all putting this together,” – said a patient family that attended the event.

The Summer Junior Volunteer Program will return to Texas Children's Hospital West Campus this summer! This program, designed for teens ages 15-17 years of age, offers a unique opportunity for teen volunteers to gain experience supporting patients, families and staff in a hospital setting.

The Summer Junior Program is a very competitive leadership program and there is potential for more applicants than available openings. Applications are open February 1st – February 4th. Learn more about dates and the application process here:

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 🎄 We kicked off the holiday season with our annual Tree Lighting event at Texas Children's Hospital West Campus! Our patient families enjoyed a special Nutcracker performance by BalletForte and a visit from Santa who helped us light our tree. We want to send a huge thank you to our community partners for making this possible.
