Play therapy is often misunderstood, but here’s the truth.
It isn’t “just kids playing,” and it isn’t only for little kids. Children don’t always need words for therapy to be working, because their play, stories, and actions can communicate what they’re feeling. Progress also isn’t instant. Healing takes time, trust, and consistency.
Play therapy isn’t only for “big problems.” It can support anxiety, big feelings, behavior challenges, life transitions, grief, and more.
Parents are part of the process too, and caregiver connection and collaboration help support growth at home. 🤍🧸🌿
