We're excited to introduce 2 new classes to our Weekend Wellness Classes for the community! Yoga Chi and Chair Yoga in April and May! Come and enjoy some movement meditations!

Yoga Chi: Join us for a harmonizing 90-minute stretch and flow experience. The first half of class (40 min) will begin with building focus and centering the body through Qi Gong breath work, followed by circular shifting Tai Chi movements to help increase energy circulation, strengthen balance, and enhance mind-body coordination. After a short intermission/break (5/10min), we will spend the last 40 minutes practicing a soothing yoga flow, concluding with floor stretching, and restorative poses.

Chair Yoga: This gentle and accessible Chair Yoga class is designed to support relaxation, mobility, and overall well-being. Using the stability of a chair, students are guided through mindful movement, breathwork, and simple stretches that help reduce tension, improve circulation, and enhance balance. Rooted in the principles of mind-body awareness, this practice is ideal for all levels, including those recovering from injury, managing stress, or seeking a supportive introduction to yoga. Participants will leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and more connected within.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Daniel Jiao L.AC., DIPL.AC., C.H & OM to ACAOM’s March Conference.

Daniel Jiao graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and he holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Master of Science degree in T.C.M. from the American College of T.C.M. in USA.

Daniel served on the Board of Directors of the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM ). He was this Board’s chairman for 3 years and commissioner for 9 years. He was a consultant for the California State Acupuncture Board and site-visit team member for the State Accreditation Committee. He has also served as an advisor of international legislation for Oriental Medicine. Daniel served as the chief instructor of Oriental Medicine in the Medical Acupuncture Program at Stanford University, in addition, he taught in the Department of Health Sciences at California State University at Long Beach.

Presently, Daniel is a Professor at the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. He has been in private practice since 1984 and was named “Best Acupuncturist” in San Francisco Bay Area by Focus Magazine.
He specializes in TCM gynecology and Pain management. His research includes TCM treatment for myomata and uterine fibroids. Daniel is a well-known, active T.C.M. speaker and has lectured extensively to many colleges, medical associations and at international conferences in China, Japan, Europe, and Brazil.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Katherine Taromina, D.A.C.M., DIPL. OM (NCCAOM), L.AC. to ACAOM’s March Conference.

Katherine Taromina is a dedicated practitioner and educator in the field of Acupuncture and East Asian medicine. Currently, she serves as the Co-President for Academics, for the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine, as well as a Research and Oncology Acupuncturist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. She has previously served as the Program Manager at Columbia University Medical Center's Integrative Therapies Program and as a faculty member at multiple institutions.

Katherine has been working with adults and children with cancer for over 25 years, both in private practice and hospital-based settings. She has deep commitment to being part of research projects and other initiatives that will contribute to expanded access for patients to utilize integrative therapies during all phases of cancer treatment and survivorship.

Katherine has served two terms as a Commissioner for the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM) and is a previous Board member for the Society for Integrative Oncology.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Donna Guthery, L.AC., D.A.O.M., FNP to ACAOM’s March Conference.

Donna Guthery is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and family nurse practitioner in the State of Texas. She graduated from the ACAOM with a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine. She also trained at Zhejiang College of TCM and received post graduate oriental medicine certification in Hepatitis C from UC San Francisco and Quan Yin Oriental Medical Clinic in San Francisco. Donna has two master’s degrees in nursing, one in critical care and one as a family nurse practitioner. She has over 30 years of experience in western medicine at various academic institutions in the Texas Medical Center. These include: Leukemia Service, Neurosurgery and Medical Breast Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Pediatric Cardiology at Texas Children’s Hospital. As an adjunct to her practice, Donna is a certified practitioner in The Body Talk System™, and in New Decision TherapyTM.

Dr. Guthery is currently an adjunct faculty at ACAOM and has been an Assistant Professor at UTMB Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Qian Dejin to ACAOM’s March Conference.

Professor Qian Dejin, born in 1947 in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, is an Associate Chief Physician at Helsen Rehabilitation Hospital, Chengdu. A fourth-generation inheritor of Qian’s One-Finger Zen Tuina, he co-created Chinese Parallel and Perpendicular Acupuncture Therapy in the 1970s, later recognized with a First-Class Science and Technology Progress Award. His works, including Chinese Parallel and Perpendicular Acupuncture Therapy (2017) and One-Finger Zen Tuina (2020), provide systematic frameworks for acupuncture and Tuina. President of multiple acupuncture associations and recognized as an inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Professor Qian has trained countless practitioners worldwide, promoting traditional Chinese medicine and innovative therapeutic methods globally.

钱德金教授，1947年出生於江蘇揚州，現任中國四川成都赫爾森康復醫院副主任醫師。作為錢氏一指禪推拿第四代傳承人，他在1970年代與兄長共同創立了中式平行與垂直針法，該療法曾獲得江蘇省衛生廳授予的一等獎科技進步獎。其著作包括《中式平行與垂直針法》（2017）和《一指禪推拿》（2020），為針灸和推拿提供了系統化的理論框架。錢教授現任多家針灸學會主席，並被認定為非物質文化遺產傳承人，培養了全球無數中醫針灸及推拿從業者，推廣傳統中醫與創新治療方法。

We are honored to welcome Dr. Yiech Chieh Huang to ACAOM’s March Conference.

Yiech Chieh Huang holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. and Master of Medicine at the University of Chinese Medicine, Taiwan. In addition, he holds a Master of Divinity from the Asia Theological Association / Chung Yuan Christian University.
He serves as President of the China Acupuncture Medical Society and holds executive positions at several organizations, including the Institute of Cross-Strait Traditional Chinese Medicine Exchange and Cooperation of the China Information Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Taoyuan Chinese Medicine Physicians Association, the Chinese Medical Association for Liver Diseases, and the Community Care Association for Holistic Well-Being. He is also the President of Ming-yi Chinese Medicine United Clinics, contributing to clinical practice, professional development, and the promotion of integrative traditional Chinese medicine.

黃英傑醫師擁有北京中醫藥大學醫學博士學位，目前在臺灣中醫藥大學攻讀博士及醫學碩士學位。此外，他還取得亞洲神學協會 / 中原基督大學的神學碩士學位。

We are honored to welcome Dr. Dongyun Liang to ACAOM’s March Conference.

Dr. Dongyun Liang is a licensed acupuncturist in the United States, chief physician, guest professor, academic lecturer, and a renowned expert in male and female infertility. She is a member of the American TCMAAA Gynecology Professional Committee and the WFCRC, serves on the editorial board of the New Zealand TCM Journal, and is a guest professor in the doctoral programs of several TCM universities in the U.S. Her article, "How to Use the Eight Principles of TCM to Analyze the Basal Body Temperature of Infertility Patients," received the International Outstanding Paper Award at the 2024 World Acupuncture Federation Academic Conference in London, UK.

梁東雲醫師，美國執照針灸師，主任醫師，客座教授，學術講師，男女不孕不育專家。現任美國 TCMAAA 婦科專業委員會及 WFCRC 成員，擔任《新西蘭中醫雜誌》編委，並為美國多所中醫大學博士課程客座教授。其論文《如何運用中醫八綱辨證分析不孕患者的基礎體溫》榮獲2024年英國倫敦世界針灸聯合會學術大會國際優秀論文獎。

We are honored to welcome Dr. Chao-Ming Liao to ACAOM’s March Conference.

Dr. Chao-Ming Liao currently serves as the Chief Director of the SHINING TCM Team in Taiwan and holds advisory roles with the Global TCM Association, Vice President of the China Acupuncture Association, and President of the SHINING Yoga Association. He is a specialist in TCM oncology, family medicine, and male medicine, and serves as a clinical instructor for TCM internal medicine and gynecology under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Dr. Liao has an extensive educational background, holding a Doctorate in Clinical Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, a master’s degree in chemical and biomedical engineering from Tsinghua University, a bachelor’s degree in Chinese medicine from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and dual bachelor’s degrees from Tamkang University. He previously worked as a researcher at the National Taiwan University Hospital Cancer Research Center and has co-authored multiple papers in internationally recognized journals such as Biochemical Pharmacology and Polymer, focusing on cancer therapeutics, liver fibrosis, and polymer-based drug delivery systems. He is dedicated to the clinical application and global promotion of innovative TCM therapies.

廖昭銘醫師現任台灣祥寧中醫團隊（SHINING TCM Team）總院長，並擔任全球中醫藥聯合會顧問、中國針灸學會副理事長及祥寧瑜伽協會理事長。他是中醫癌症學、家醫科及男科專科醫師，並兼任衛生福利部中醫內科及婦科臨床醫學指導教師。
廖醫師學經歷豐富，先後取得北京中醫藥大學臨床醫學博士學位、清華大學化工生物醫學碩士學位、福建中醫藥大學中醫學士學位，以及淡江大學雙學士學位。他曾任台大醫院癌症研究中心研究員，並在《Biochemical Pharmacology》和《Polymer》等國際知名期刊共同發表多篇論文，研究方向涵蓋癌症治療、肝纖維化及聚合物藥物傳遞系統，致力於中醫藥臨床應用與創新療法的推廣。
