The Lone Star tick that causes red meat allergies is actually only found (for now) on the East Coast....so confusing! Not in Texas! Yet, something to consider if anyone visits that area to go camping or hiking!

A JetBlue pilot’s illness looked like food poisoning, but it was actually an increasingly common tick-borne meat allergy that can be fatal.

There's a huge hole in this story about a big bill owed by this doctor after a car accident--there's usually an ongoing wrestling match between the auto insurance and health insurance groups as to who will pay some of these bills? Been there, done that for clients!!!

Did the Suburban that hit her not have insurance? Did she not have comprehensive car insurance? Those are the questions I would ask as her patient advocate!

A doctor in Colorado became the patient after an accident totaled her car and sent her to the operating room. The hospital kept her overnight, but her insurer stopped paying after she left the emergency room.
