Dr. Sanders has been working with this young baseball catcher, Wyatt Lacina, for less than four months and nine treatments in total. Before seeing Dr. Sanders, Wyatt saw an Orthopedist who ordered an MRI of his throwing shoulder and diagnosed him with a SLAP tear. It was recommended he have surgery and was told the post-operative PT would take at least six months.

This was daunting news since this was his Senior year. He wanted to finish his high school baseball career on the field and go on to play at the collegiate level.

He came to MultiSport Health Center for a second opinion. Dr. Sanders performed Active Release Technique weekly, and Lauren Kalis supervised his rehab program. He is now almost completely pain-free, playing catcher full-time, and has increased throwing velocity.

We are keeping our eyes set on the future of this exceptional young athlete. Luke McCaffrey is a Rice University graduate and a Top 100 NFL Draft pick who recently ran a 4.46 at the NFL Combine, beating his brother, Christian McCaffrey, by 0.02 seconds. Growing up with their father, 3X SuperBowl Champ Ed McCaffrey, incredible athleticism is in their blood.
