As our impact continues to grow, we are expanding our Employment Division and are currently seeking candidates to join our team — including a Workforce Development Manager (WDM).
About the Role: Workforce Development Manager
The WDM is a full-time program leader responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating pre-employment and workforce readiness programs. This role focuses on:
Designing and delivering curriculum that prepares participants for long-term employment
Building and strengthening partnerships with school districts, employers, and community stakeholders
Making independent program decisions aligned with Summerhouse Houston’s mission, policies, and funding requirements
Collaborating closely with our Employment Director to align workforce readiness with labor market needs and employment strategies
This position plays a key role in shaping employment pathways that lead to meaningful, inclusive jobs for the IDD community.
