Your hips and shoulders carry more than you realize—tension, stress, the weight of showing up in spaces that weren't built for you. This practice is about letting that go.

Join us for a gentle sequence designed to release what you've been holding: prone frog for the hips, sphinx for the shoulders, and breath that reminds you it's safe to soften here.

This is yoga for bodies that need rest, not performance. For folks who've been searching for a virtual space where you don't have to explain yourself—you can just be.

Sun salutations are a staple in most yoga classes, but they're often taught in ways that assume everyone has the same body. Spoiler: we don't.

If you've got fuller thighs, bringing your feet together at the top of the mat easily might not even be an option—and that's completely fine. You don't need to change your body to practice yoga.

Instead try: Keep your feet apart and place a block between your thighs. Hug the block gently to create that same centerline engagement and stability the common cue is trying to get at—without forcing your body into a shape it doesn't want to take.

Block use isn't "beginner" movement. It is body-smart yoga that works WITH you, not against you.

Happy eclipse, beloved community 🌕✨

Tonight's full moon lunar eclipse is a portal for release—a cosmic invitation to let go of what no longer serves and make space for what's emerging. In yogic tradition, eclipses are powerful times for introspection and inner work rather than outward action.

This is your reminder that rest is not passive. It's how we integrate, how we transform, how we honor the cycles that move through us.

Join us Tuesday for Full Moon classes designed to help you move, feel, rest, and release—exactly as you are, in the body you're in today.

📍 Yin Yoga with Katy (6:30AM / 9:30AM ET)
📍 Flow with Ashley (5:30PM / 7:30PM / 8:30PM ET)
📍 Therapeutics with Elena (8:15AM / 11:15AM / 12:15PM ET)
📍 Full Moon Yoga Nidra with Esmer (6:30PM / 8:30PM / 9:30PM ET)

Your week doesn't have to be a grind.

We get it—you're navigating systems that weren't built for your rest, your care, your full humanity. The world asks you to keep pushing, keep proving, keep producing. But what if your yoga practice didn't ask that of you?

This week at Ashe Yoga Collective, we're centering the subtler practices: Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra. The kind of yoga that lets your nervous system exhale. The kind that meets your body exactly where it is—no changing, no performing, no apologies.

Monday through Sunday, we're here. A soft place to land for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks doing the work of social justice and collective care. Virtual classes mean no barriers—just you, your mat, and a community that sees you.

Rest isn't lazy. Rest is resistance.

Drop a 🕊️ if you're ready to practice yoga that doesn't ask you to shrink.

If you've ever felt like yoga spaces weren't made for you—you're not imagining it. Too many studios have centered performance, comparison, and bodies that look a certain way, while leaving so many of us on the margins.

Here's what we believe: Yoga isn't about how much you can do, how perfect your poses look, or how you measure up. It's about meeting your body exactly where it is today. It's about rest, resilience, and listening to what you actually need—not what you think you should be able to do.

At Ashe Yoga Collective, we're creating space for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folks, people in all bodies, and anyone who's been searching for a yoga practice that doesn't ask you to change who you are. Our virtual studio means you can practice from anywhere—no need to scan the room wondering if you'll be seen and affirmed.

We practice Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra—the subtler, slower practices that center rest as resistance. Because you deserve a soft place to land, exactly as you are.

You're welcome here. Full stop.

Drop a 🌈 if you've been searching for this kind of space, or share this with someone who needs to know they belong on the mat too.

You know that feeling when the teacher says "hold for five breaths" and suddenly you're living in a time warp?

Time moves differently on the mat. What feels like an eternity in pigeon pose is actually 90 seconds. That "quick" child's pose? Could be 20 seconds or 20 minutes—your nervous system isn't telling.

This isn't about pushing through or "getting stronger." It's about noticing what happens when you slow down enough to actually feel your body, your breath, the quiet resistance or the unexpected softness.

At Ashe Yoga Collective, we don't rush you through poses to maximize calorie burn. We create space for you to be exactly where you are—even when where you are feels uncomfortable, boring, or like time itself has stopped.

Because the subtler practices (Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra) aren't about efficiency. They're about presence. And presence has its own timeline.

If you've ever wondered if everyone else feels this way too: yes. We all do. And you're welcome here, exactly as you are.

02/18/2026

Black History Month isn't just about remembering the past. It's about recognizing the living, breathing courage of Black leaders, creators, and change-makers whose work continues to shape our world today.

At Ashe Yoga Collective, we honor this legacy by creating space where your intersectional identities aren't just tolerated—they're celebrated. Where being Black, q***r, trans, nonbinary, or any beautiful combination of identities means you belong exactly as you are.

We know what it's like to walk into yoga spaces that weren't built for us. That make us shrink. That ask us to leave parts of ourselves at the door.

That's not what happens here.

Here, you can breathe fully. Move authentically. Rest without apology. Practice yoga in a body that looks like yours, with teachers who understand the unique resilience required when you're navigating the world at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities.

This Black History Month, we're not just celebrating history. We're building the future—one rooted in equity, collective care, and the radical belief that wellness belongs to all of us.

Your practice, your way. Your body, your agency. Your community, waiting for you.

Join us. Become a member, gift a membership to someone you love, or invite a friend to commit to 3 months with you. Small actions create lasting impact.

Every week, we hold space for you.

Monday through Sunday, our virtual studio is a soft place to land—where you don't have to shrink, perform, or justify your presence. Just show up as you are.

This week's teachers are ready to guide you through Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra practices that prioritize your nervous system, your rest, and your right to move in a body that belongs to you.

Because yoga was never meant to exclude you. And here, it doesn't.

Drop in anytime. Your mat is waiting. 🕯️

02/13/2026

This is what you can expect when you practice with us—real teaching, real bodies, real laughter when things get "exciting."

Our teachers bring their whole selves to the mat, which means you get clear, compassionate guidance that meets you exactly where you are. Notice the humor around the crash pad and blanket? That's intentional. We're not here to make you feel like you need to be perfect or perform. We're here to help you explore what your body can do today, with all the props and modifications that serve YOU.

In this practice, you'll work with core engagement and balance in a way that honors your agency—heel-toe or toe-toe-toe-toe, whatever feels right. And if your butt goes "boop"? The blanket's got you. That's the Ashe way: scaffolded support, genuine encouragement, and space to be fully human while you move.

Ready to find your people and practice yoga that actually feels good in your body? Join us at the link in bio. Monthly membership is the cost of just two drop-in classes—because wellness should be accessible.
