Pierre Matta, Family Houston Licensed Mental Health Clinician, led a Community Mental Health Workshop at West End Multi-Service Center, bringing coping skills and emotional well-being support to community members still recovering from Hurricane Beryl. Attendees left with disaster kits, gift cards, and nonperishable items to help them on their journey forward.

This work is made possible by a Long-Term Recovery grant from the American Red Cross. 💚

Family Houston convened its CEO Roundtable, 'Shaping What's Next', bringing together some of Houston's most trusted nonprofit, philanthropic, and public health leaders for an invitation-only conversation about our path forward.

President & CEO Ken Sheirr led a candid dialogue on the strategic priorities shaping Family Houston's next chapter, with special thanks to the Kinder Institute for Urban Research and Ruth N. López Turley for grounding the conversation in the realities of Greater Houston's evolving economic landscape.

We are grateful for the partners, funders, and community leaders who showed up for this conversation: Casa de Esperanza de Los Ninos, Communities In Schools of Houston, SERJobs, AccessHealth, American Red Cross, Houston Food Bank, the City of Houston Public Health Department, Goodwill Houston, The George Foundation, The Brown Foundation, The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, and Family Houston Board of Directors.

The path forward is built together. Learn more about partnering with Family Houston at familyhouston.org/partners.
