Diabetes doesn’t just impact blood sugar; it can also harm the tiny blood vessels in the retina, leading to a serious condition called diabetic retinopathy, a leading cause of vision loss in adults.

The good news? Regular eye exams can detect problems early — often before symptoms appear.

Keep your blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol under control, and don’t ignore vision changes, such as blurriness or floaters.
