📣We are excited to announce Dr. David Sandberg as Honorary Chair of our 2024 Houston WALK to End Hydrocephalus.

David I. Sandberg, MD, FACS, FAAP, is the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at UTHealth Houston Neurosciences, and is affiliated with Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. Dr. Sandberg specializes in minimally invasive endoscopic approaches to hydrocephalus, arachnoid cysts and brain tumors, as well as surgical management of arteriovenous malformations of the brain, congenital spinal anomalies, spasticity and craniofacial anomalies. Dr. Sandberg has a longstanding interest in caring for children with hydrocephalus. He has written various articles for peer-reviewed journals about hydrocephalus, and each year Dr. Sandberg leads a volunteer medical mission to Haiti to care for children with hydrocephalus, primarily by performing endoscopic third ventriculostomies and choroid plexus coagulation.
