Yesterday we took our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents to Luby’s for lunch! 🥰 It was a wonderful outing filled with great food and even better conversation. Mrs. Vicky shared that she used to run her own chicken farm in East Texas—that’s how she made her living! 🐔💼 Mrs. Usha smiled as she reminisced about the many times she and her family came to Luby’s over the years. It’s always special to see how these little trips spark big memories. ❤️

🍦✨ Blue Bell Factory Fun! ✨🍦
We had the sweetest day with our residents touring the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory in Brenham, Texas! We got to see how the famous ice cream is made, packaged, and shipped to stores all over. The best part? Enjoying a scoop (or two!) of that delicious Blue Bell ice cream right at the source! 😋🍨

After the tour, we stopped for a lovely lunch in Chappell Hill, sharing laughs and stories over a good meal.

This outing was part of our Apollo Program, which continues to bring joy, purpose, and exciting experiences to our residents. What a great day!

🇺🇸💦 Slip and Slide Spectacular – Early 4th of July Celebration! 💦🇺🇸

We celebrated the 4th of July a day early with our planned Slip and Slide Spectacular — and not even the rain could stop us! After a quick shift in timing, the skies cleared and the fun began! ☀️

With a raft, tarps, and tons of team spirit, our residents and staff slid into laughter, connection, and summer joy. The smiles on their faces were everything! 💙❤️

This unforgettable event was part of our Apollo Program, which brings engaging, meaningful, and joy-filled experiences to our community — and this one was definitely a hit!

Today in Memory Care at Orchard Park 🍯💛

We made homemade honey butter using just heavy whipping cream and honey — and the best part? Our residents helped shake the jars by hand until the butter formed! There were smiles, laughter, and lots of teamwork.

These are the moments that make the Apollo Program so special — hands-on, purposeful activities that spark joy, connection, and engagement. From shaking jars to sharing stories, our residents truly shine when given the opportunity to participate and create.

Sweet, simple, and full of heart — just the way we like it at Orchard Park.
