Stewart L. Zuckerbrod, M.D. General Ophthalmology
Dr. Stewart Zuckerbrod was born on an American Army base in Frankfurt, Germany. He graduated from Lawrence High School in Cedarhurst, NY in 1973, and continued his education by obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and German Literature from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1977. Dr. Zuckerbrod attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree in 1983. He then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Westchester County Medical Center in Westchester, NY, and an ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. He has been awarded numerous times for his many outstanding achievements some of which include the Outstanding Young Men in America Award, Baylor College of Medicine Community Service Award, Goar Award (Cullen EyeCenter), and Teacher of the Year - UT/Hermann Ophthalmology Program. He has been chosen best ophthalmologist in Houston for multiple years by the readers of a local publication.
Dr. Zuckerbrod is a member of many organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Houston Ophthalmology Society, Texas Medical Association, Texas Ophthalmology Association, and Harris County Medical Society. He has served on the Boards of Directors of numerous non-profit organizations.
Dr. Zuckerbrod is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and practices general ophthalmology. During his spare time, Dr. Zuckerbrod enjoys gardening, photography, writing plays (that have been produced in Houston and Los Angeles) and spending time with his lovely twin daughters.
