After making a diagnosis, Dr. Siddiqi and his staff at the Texas Spine Center will often recommend a non-surgical approach to spinal treatment, including physical therapy, epidural steroid injections and analgesic. If non-surgical treatment proves unsuccessful, additional options include minimally invasive spinal surgery, which allows for a quick recovery time, or in some cases, complex spinal surgery may be required. Dr. Shah Siddiqi received his BS with Honors in medical sciences and psychology from The University of London in 1982, his medical degree in 1986 from the University of Cambridge, a Neurosurgery Residency at the University of Toronto in 1998, and a Spinal Surgery Fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Science Center, University of Toronto. Dr. Siddiqi is married and has three children, ages 14, 18, and 20. Both of his parents have lived in the Houston area for over 30 years after moving from London.
