I had so many plans for this week, but they have been halted (for now). I appreciate every single comment, text, word of affirmation, prayer, hug, and other words and notions of love that have been extended to me, my family, and my girls.
Yes - my girls were at Camp Mystic Cypress Lakes when tragedy struck on early Friday morning. They were at the higher of the two Camp Mystic camps, and thankfully, all three were safe. They were evacuated by the Texas Game Wardens on Friday evening, and we were able to be reunited late on Friday. The devastation and sheer frightening power they witnessed was immense.
We are so lucky. We get to still snuggle our 3 precious girls. Thank you for being with us and supporting us in this moment, and thank you for giving me a moment to have extra snuggles with my crew.
Please continue to hold us in your hearts, but more importantly, please hold in your hearts the families who lost their most precious possession. I cannot imagine their void.
