After 21 years of competing at the highest level of professional women's basketball, one of the most important words of advice that the legendary Sue Bird had to say was, "your health is all you have".

It's easy to take for granted how important it is to take care of the body with age because the mind still convinces us that we can get away with doing the same things that we have always done. Well, that couldn't be the furthest from the truth. The emphasis on injury prevention, prehabilitation, and recovery have historically been the missing pieces in Sports Medicine. Not anymore.
