🚧 Memorial Drive Resurfacing Project – Traffic Advisory

The City of Houston will begin traffic control setup near State Highway 6 on Thursday, January 8 as part of a resurfacing project along Memorial Drive, extending to Eldridge Parkway.

What to know:

- Traffic delays should be expected during construction
- Work is part of long-term roadway improvements supporting safer, smoother travel
- The project is currently estimated to be completed by March 2026

The City is expected to release a more detailed construction schedule, and, we’ll share updates as soon as that information becomes available.

We are excited to announce that we had six outstanding recipients of this year’s 12 Days of Christmas Grant. Congratulations to Bayou Preservation Association, ECHO: The Energy Corridor of Houston Orchestra, Keep Houston Beautiful, Ray K Daily PTO, and The Jolly Trolley Foundation!

The awards were presented during our Annual Tree Lighting Celebration on December 11.

This grant supports organizations that make a meaningful impact in the Energy Corridor community, and these organizations exemplify that mission through their dedication and service.

We look forward to seeing the positive work they will continue to bring to families and neighborhoods across the District.
