His Progress is Not a Reset Button đď¸
It is one of the most complex parts of the recovery journey: watching a partner finally do "the work" while you are still reeling from the impact of the betrayal.
You might feel an internal or external pressure to "move on" because things are looking up, or you may feel guilty for still hurting when he is trying so hard. But here is the truth: His growth does not erase your trauma.
Healing isn't a zero-sum game. You can acknowledge his effort and still feel the deep ache of what was broken. Your pain is real, it is valid, and it deserves its own space to be processedâregardless of how much progress is being made across the room.
