Did you know at Foundations speech therapy actually takes place in all of the treatment spaces versus just at a table? You’ll oftentimes find Ms. Solmarie using suspension equipment, building forts, and flying into the pillow pit to build communication skills! 🦸🏽‍♀️

She’s really great at science experiments as well, ask her about her mug cake recipe 😉

Meet Ms. Gladys! If you’ve worked with Ms. Gladys, you know how fun and creative she is!

She came up with “Don’t get bonked” in the clinic! You use stepping stones and foam blocks to create a path to walk across while ensuring you don’t get bonked by our wrecking ball swing! Such a fun activity to address impulse control, balance, visual motor perceptual skills, and body awareness!

Looking for a last minute toy for your little?! Look no further, here are some ideas!

With the right tools, your child's sensorimotor development can blossom!
Coupled with purposeful play, certain toys can provide the specific sensory input necessary to encourage infant & toddler motor development including (but not limited to) tummy time, rolling, reaching, crawling, standing, walking, climbing, etc. A pediatric physical therapist can determine areas of need, recommend optimal set up for purposeful home play, and facilitate movement to best assist your child.

Who we are

Foundations Pediatric Therapy is a holistic pediatric therapy clinic offering occupational and speech therapy services based on building relationships to support social emotional development, facilitate sensory integration, improve gross and fine motor coordination, and decrease anxiety. We utilize various evidence based treatment modalities that are not typically offered in pediatric therapy clinics and tailor treatment to each child and their family system.

We treat a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, dyspraxia, apraxia, articulation, expressive and receptive language disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, torticollis, down syndrome, ADD/ADHD, anxiety disorders, emotional/behavioral problems, and learning disabilities. But to us, your child is more than just a diagnosis. We strive to understand how their nervous system functions, how they are impacted by sensory experiences, and how their motor abilities support or inhibit them in daily activities. We recognize that your child is part of a greater unit, your family, thus strive to improve quality of life for everyone.
