🔥 She Beat Breast Cancer & Ditched Her Implants 🔥
My courageous patient in her 50s was diagnosed with LEFT breast cancer 10 years ago. At that time, she underwent bilateral mastectomies followed by implant-based breast reconstruction with fat grafting. Years later, she came back to see me because she wanted something different — she wanted her implants removed and her breasts reconstructed using her OWN tissue 🙌💕
To achieve this, we performed a DIEP flap reconstruction (Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator flap) — a highly specialized microsurgical technique that uses skin and fat from the lower abdomen to create soft, natural breasts without using implants ✨
