🏃‍♂️Houston Heat at the Chevron Houston Marathon!

Yesterday, Houston Heat members volunteered at the Chevron Houston Marathon at mile 13, cheering on and supporting not only some of our very own HH runners, but thousands of runners from around the world.

The weather was absolutely perfect—for runners and volunteers—and the energy was incredible. It was such a rewarding experience to give back, cheering on strangers, and watch people push through the halfway point with determination.

Huge congratulations to all the runners—and a special shout-out to the paddlers who decided running was a good idea 😆. Whether you paddle, run, or somehow do both, we’re proud of you!

Way to show up, Houston Heat—on land and on water.

We’re kicking off the 2026 season with something special — a four-day clinic hosted by Houston Heat, happening March 19–22, 2026!
We’ve got an awesome coaching lineup this year:

If you don’t already know them, they’re part of the USDBF National Team — top-level coaches and athletes who understand what it takes to compete at the highest level.

🔥 That’s a wrap for the Houston Heat 2025 season!

We wrapped up the year with our End-of-the-year party on Saturday — celebrating an amazing year of paddling, racing, and growth together. ❤️

With more than half of our members being newbies, it’s incredible to see how much the club has grown and how strong our community has become.

Thank you to everyone who made this season unforgettable — let’s keep the momentum going into next year! See you all on the water in 2026!

On behalf of Houston Heat Dragon Boat Club, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Lucas' journey to IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing in Germany as the first Texan youth to represent our country. Your generous contributions have provided him with a solid foundation to continue growing as an athlete. We are pleased to announce that the fundraiser successfully surpassed the $5,000 goal.

Off to Germany! 🌍🏆

Huge congratulations to our Houston-based paddlers heading to the 2025 IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Brandenburg, Germany! Representing Team USA are Eva, Lucas, Jackson, and Joel from Houston Heat, along with John from Island Warriors and Elizabeth from Hokulele. All six are also proud members of Lone Star Dragons and have trained hard to earn their place on the national team.

We’re beyond proud to see our local athletes take the world stage—your passion, grit, and teamwork are an inspiration to us all. Safe travels and paddle strong… Germany, here they come!
