Just like sunscreen protects your skin, UV-protective lenses shield your eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays — even on cloudy days! ☁️👓
Why it matters:
- Helps prevent long-term damage like cataracts and macular degeneration
- Reduces your risk of sun-related eye strain
- Keeps your eyes healthy and your style on point

What Does 20/20 Vision Actually Mean?
Spoiler: It’s not superhero vision — it’s normal vision!
Think of it like this:
If you have 20/20 vision, it means you can see at 20 feet what a person with “normal” vision should see at 20 feet.
So if there's a sign 20 feet away, and you can read it clearly, congrats! That’s 20/20.
But if you have 20/40 vision, you'd need to be 20 feet away to see what others can see clearly from 40 feet.
(Translation: You might need a little help from glasses or contacts.)

Happy Fourth of July from our staff to your family!
07/02/2025
We will be closed on the Fourth of July to allow our staff time with their family.
We hope you have a happy and safe Fourth of July!

This Fourth of July, remember that fireworks are not toys but can cause devastating eye injuries if not used properly. Fireworks should only be handled by professionals; they should never be handled by children.
Keep everyone's eyes safe during 4th of July!

Stay vigilant this 4th of July!
Just because you're not lighting or throwing the fireworks doesn't mean you're safe. 65% of people injured by fireworks are bystanders. When viewing a professional fireworks display, watch from at least 500 feet away.
Keep your eyes peeled so that you can keep them safe.

Fireworks are a staple of the 4th of July — but did you know they send about 9,100 people to the emergency room every year? Even more concerning, 15% of those injuries are to the eyes.
This 4th of July, let’s light up the sky — not the ER.
Top Tips for Eye Safety:
• Leave fireworks to the pros — attend public shows
• Wear protective eyewear if handling fireworks
• Watch from a safe distance
• Keep kids away from sparklers (they burn at 2,000°F!)
• If an injury occurs, seek medical help — don’t rub or rinse the eye
Your sight is precious, and a few precautions can go a long way.

OUR GOAL:
Why the carrot?
Like the apple for healthy living, the carrot is associated with healthy vision. Our goal is to preserve vision in sick eyes, to prevent vision loss in healthy eyes, and to promote a lifestyle that contributes to a lifetime of great vision.
