Today I and two other physicians were honored to receive the Physician Excellence Award for Houston Methodist West as part of the celebration of . Words cannot describe how grateful and humbled I am to receive this as we were nominated by our day and night shift staff. I’ve been on staff since the hospital opened, and it’s amazing to think how many babies we’ve delivered and patients we have cared for over the years. Thank you to all of the nurses and staff and colleagues who have helped support all of us, especially in those years of turmoil. I had my own March Madness between the multiple obstetric emergencies that you typically only encounter on the rare occasion but got hit with them all in just a few weeks, not to mention flu and strep and post-op oral abscesses. But we did it, and I couldn’t have done it without my people. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. And now my face is on sticks EVERYWHERE.
