We had a wonderful evening participating and learning on July 17, 2025. We want to thank Kim Delahanty. BSN, PHN, MBA, HCM, CIC, FAPIC for the wonderful presentation on Hospital Onset Bacteremia & Fungemia (HOB): A new hospital onset infection metric. 💙 — 713 Day at Houston Food Bank 💙

Gulf Coast 204 showed up strong — and we couldn’t be prouder!

What started as a plan for 13 volunteers grew into 69 amazing people — members, families, kids, and friends all coming together to serve.

In just two hours, we crushed it:
✅ 4 pallets
✅ 320 boxes per pallet
✅ 8 bags of brown rice per box (that’s 2,560 bags!)
➡️ 4,266 meals prepared — incredible teamwork!

But beyond the numbers, it was the energy that made it special — teamwork, laughter, dancing, and so many smiles while working hard together.

From our flood drive to 713 Day, Gulf Coast 204 continues to show up and show off — leading with heart and action.

After the shift, we shared Voodoo Doughnuts, ice cream, and captured moments that reminded us this was more than just volunteering — it was a celebration of community and connection.

We all walked away with more than just tired arms — we left with full hearts and a new appreciation for the work the Houston Food Bank does every day.

Their mission — Food for Better Lives — is about more than food; it’s about hope, dignity, and community.

That’s exactly what is all about too: showing up, lifting others, and making a difference — together.

Thank you to every volunteer who gave your time, energy, and heart.

Thank you, ANNA Gulf Coast 204! 💙
You all showed up — and strong. isn’t just a slogan… it’s who we are.

In less than 48 hours, we raised $1,505 for flood relief efforts. That’s community. That’s action. That’s us.

Your hard-earned donations went directly toward essential items specifically requested by the flood relief program — including cleaning supplies, hygiene products, diapers, wipes, toilet paper, and first aid kits. We filled up three overflowing carts, loaded everything into three vehicles, and delivered the goods safely to American Furniture Warehouse in Katy (Typhoon Texas had to close early due to the weather). All items were purchased at Sam’s Club in Katy.

We’re especially proud of how this chapter moved — with full support from our officers, led by Ms. Aelyn, and incredible coordination from our leads. True ambassadors. 🙌

You reached out to old coworkers, friends, families, and leadership teams — all in the name of service. That’s what outreach looks like.
That’s advocacy in motion. 💪

We’re feeling proud. We’re feeling accomplished.
This chapter delivers.
Mission accomplished.

ANNA Gulf Coast Chapter 204 is coming together to support communities impacted by the recent flooding in San Antonio and surrounding areas.

We are accepting donations via Zelle at jae1974@comcast.net
➡️ Please include “Flood Donation” in the memo.
⏰ Donations accepted until 10 AM Tuesday (July 8, 2025).

All funds will go toward purchasing essential items such as hygiene products, toiletries, trash bags, diapers, and baby wipes. Donations will be delivered directly to Typhoon Texas in Katy, an official donation drop-off site.

A portion of proceeds from our merchandise sales will also support this initiative.

We have a short window—but together, anything is possible. Let’s stand united in service and compassion.
