We are excited to extend an invitation to all our members for a special session in the Renal Roundtable Lecture Series, organized in partnership with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and graciously sponsored by Otsuka. This educational event aims to foster knowledge-sharing, professional growth, and the latest updates in nephrology.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Workeneh, MD, FASN, a respected leader in the field, who will be delivering an insightful lecture on “Evolving the Treatment Paradigm to Earlier Intervention in IgA Nephropathy.” Dr. Workeneh will discuss recent advances, emerging therapies, and strategies for earlier detection and intervention in this challenging condition.

Dear ANNA Gulf Coast #204 Members,

We had an awesome time connecting and learning about the topic, “Change starts with Zepbound” by Dr. Aryana Amini. Her expertise made the session both educational and inspiring, encouraging everyone to think about the ways we can proactively embrace and lead change.
We would like to thank our sponsor Lilly Medicine and our host Jessica Soeder for coordinating the event. Discussion was held and many questions were answered.

To add to the excitement, we celebrated the start of the holiday season with a variety of games and interactive activities. These moments brought lots of laughter, fostered new connections, and helped set a joyful tone. We look forward to more opportunities to come together, learn, and grow as a community. Special thanks to Helen Currier for attending our chapter meeting.

Dear ANNA Gulf Coast #204 Members,
Thank you to everyone who attended ANNA Connection: Nurses Night Out at Kidney Week with ASN on November 6, 2025. Your presence made the evening truly special, and we hope you enjoyed the opportunity to relax and reconnect with ANNA colleagues and friends. It was wonderful to see so many of you come together, share laughter, and build lasting connections within our nephrology nursing community.

We especially appreciated the chance to spend time with the esteemed National Chapter leaders: Nancy Colobong Smith, Faith Lynch, Molly Cahill, Jami Brown, Jennifer Vavrinchik, Beth Ulrich, and Deborah Brouwer-Maier. Their insights and camaraderie contributed to the evening's welcoming, supportive atmosphere. If we missed anyone’s name on this list, please accept our sincerest apologies.

Dear ANNA Gulf Coast #204 Members,
We had a wonderful time making a meaningful impact in our community on Saturday, November 8, 2025, during the CKD screening event at the Fountain Life Center. Our collective efforts allowed us to provide essential health screenings, information, and support to those at risk for chronic kidney disease.
We want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every member who volunteered their time and expertise. Your dedication ensured the event ran smoothly and that participants felt welcome and well-cared for. Special appreciation goes to those involved in planning, setting up equipment, greeting attendees, performing screenings, and providing education about kidney health.
Events like these truly demonstrate the commitment and compassion of our chapter. By working together, we help raise awareness, promote early detection, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those in our community.
Thank you once again for your outstanding service. We look forward to continuing our important work together in future events.

We have a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in our community! We're inviting you to volunteer for the CKD screening camp next Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Fountain Life Center (14083 S Main St, Houston, 77035) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This event offers free kidney screenings to our community, and it's a great cause we can all be a part of. Gulf Coast members, your help will have a direct impact on raising awareness and supporting those at risk for kidney disease.
