The Chickasaw Inkana Foundation has named Mr. Brad Deramus as Director of the Chickasaw Heritage Center. Deramus has 20 years of experience with the Chickasaw Nation, having spent almost 10 years within the Department of Culture and Humanities. He has served in a variety of roles, most notably, as director of operations and visitor services and manager of the Anoli’ Theatre at the Chickasaw Cultural Center (CCC) located in Sulphur, Oklahoma. While serving in these positions, Deramus was able to share the Chickasaw culture with people from around the world. He played a significant role in the implementation of various programs and special events focused specifically on Chickasaw history, language and culture. He was also responsible for introducing new content material to the CCC while overseeing budgets and exhibit installations. His work with the Chickasaw Nation, especially with the CCC, has provided him with valuable insight as he now takes the lead in the creation of exhibits and programs, while guiding startup operations for the Chickasaw Heritage Center.

Matt is an Interpretive National Park Ranger at Gettysburg National Park. He gave a great presentation including the Chickasaw Men, who were soldiers fighting at Gettysburg and many other interesting facts.
