"By building trust, encouraging connection, and addressing mental health and substance use openly and compassionately, we are helping students feel less alone and more empowered to seek support when they need it most," shares Kathryn Nava, Prevention Specialist.

As the school year comes to a close, we want to highlight our in-school initiatives, which work with public and private schools across the area to provide evidence-based prevention and education programs. Congratulations on another successful year!

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and at The Council on Recovery, we are celebrating the incredible impact of our volunteers. Since the beginning of our fiscal year, more than 175 volunteers have contributed over 1,150 hours of service!
These hours include a wide range of support, including sharing professional expertise, event preparation, landscaping and cleaning, and being a voice of encouragement to the clients we serve.
Thank you for your compassion, dedication, and willingness to serve. Your time and support help make recovery possible for so many in our community.

Thank you for making The Petersen Family Speaker Series 42nd Annual Spring Luncheon such a wonderful event! Because of your incredible generosity and commitment, we raised more than $610,000 to support individuals and families on their path to recovery. Over 800 guests gathered to celebrate the gifts of recovery and hear Carnie Wilson share her story with vulnerability, strength, and hope.

Your support helps break the shame and stigma surrounding substance use disorder and ensures that life-changing resources remain available to those who need them most. There’s still time to make an impact - give now at https://igfn.us/form/Bm4v3g.

You have our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for making this impactful event possible! And don't forget to mark your calendars for Friday, November 6th, for The Petersen Family Speaker Series 2026 Fall Luncheon!
