Stage 1 - Response. A stressful stimulus like exercising while you are injured or eating sugar will cause Cortisol to rise.

Stage 2 - Elevated Output. If the stressful stimulus continues Cortisol will stay elevated and can begin to lowering other hormones like DHEA.

Stage 3 - Low Output. Eventually your Adrenal Glads will “hit the wall” and Cortisol levels will begin to lower as DHEA levels lower further.

Eventually Adrenal Failure can take place…Know your Adrenals, test their output through saliva, and care for them so they can boost your performance.

1. Physical exercise like lifting weights, running, cycling, swimming & hiking can improve energy levels, sleep, metabolism, & immune function. Exercise can also “stress” the Adrenal Glands and negatively affect all of these things. We exercise for health and to improve energy, sleep, metabolism, etc… Do you know if your Exercise is breaking you down or building you up?

2. Constantly multitasking, it’s what we all do in our modern lives. This is one of the most significant offenders to the Adrenal Glands that I see in every day practice. This is “stress”. Take time to plan, organize & focus your exercise. Your exercise should relieve stress not add stress!!!

3. Nutrition. Each meal can lead to repair, recovery, and improved performance. But if your food is void of nutrients and causing internal inflammation you will slow your times and become more susceptible to injury. Your body is a Temple and a Gift, treat it well.

I challenge you to balance your exercise, focus your thoughts & eat for health.

I Pray your Exercise is Blessed with Health and the best of Performance!

Knowing your internal metrics is just as if not more important than knowing what your watch can tell you. I love metrics, heart rate, VO2, recovery time. But you have to know the metrics inside the engine where true Performance comes from. There are wonderful amazing tests out there. Go find out what is going on inside!! Wishing you Blessing of Health & Performance!

This is one of the most interesting, amazing and wondrous things about the human body. I find it can be a difficult thing for some to comprehend that your knee pain might actually be associated with your constipation, diarrhea or poor nutrition.....but it can!

The diagnostic test we have readily available to us now are wonderful and amazing. The health information we can obtain can help us and you understand concerns or propel your performance to that next level you have been striving for. In my opinion these diagnostic tests should be standard for everyone to know about their hormonal health, gut health & metabolic health.
God Bless, stay healthy & exercise well!
