This month, residents gathered to learn the art of creating stunning charcuterie boards, featuring tropical fruits and delicious delicacies. Resident Judy Feder had a blast assisting Chef Tony, making the presentation even more special. This week, we proudly showcased the beautiful artwork of resident artist Jack Ayres, whose creativity and love for watercolors continue to shine through his participation in our community art classes. Jack’s original pieces were available for purchase, and residents loved seeing his talent on full display.

We were also delighted to feature a special guest artist — our Executive Dining Director, Tony Bejko, who shared several of his personal artworks for everyone to enjoy. (Tony’s pieces weren’t for sale, but they certainly drew a crowd!)

Providing opportunities for our residents to express themselves and share their gifts is one of our greatest joys here at The Village of Tanglewood. 🌟

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes at The Village of Tanglewood 🇺🇸

Yesterday, our community came together for a deeply moving Veterans Day ceremony filled with pride, gratitude and heartfelt emotion. We were honored to welcome District G Council Member Nan Huffman and LaShonda Jones from the City of Houston Military and Veterans Affairs, who shared powerful words of appreciation and respect for those who have served.

A special thank you to the VFW 8790 Color Guard for their stirring presentation, which set the tone for an unforgettable tribute.

Our very own Village of Tanglewood veterans—representing World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War—stood proudly among us. The room was filled with stories of courage, leadership and sacrifice from men and women who served across all ranks, including several Colonels and even one Brigadier General.

It was a day to remember, reminding us that freedom is never free and that the spirit of service lives strong within our community.
