I am with the 76% that believe that you can ACTUALLY heal from trauma and here’s why.
Over the past few years, I have worked with numerous clients who have experienced various types of trauma. Their experiences were complex and intense, causing several short and long term effects in their lives. Despite the odds, each and every one of them reported that through trauma therapy, they were able to process and heal from the trauma they experienced.
There are several kinds of trauma therapy that are shown to be successful, but the one I have seen success with specifically is Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I love this therapy because it helps us cope with trauma symptoms, effectively process our trauma, and ensure our future safety and stability.
This therapy is also one of my favorites because it helps clients who have experienced complex trauma BUT there are aspects of it that are equally as effective for clients who are going through less complex life challenges, everyday obstacles, or change.
Over the next several weeks, I’m going to walk you through this therapy process and show you some proven ways that can actually help us heal from our trauma.
