Legacy Community Health headed north this week to drop off a truckload of supplies for flood victims in San Angelo, Texas. Legacy's facilities team collected and wrapped pallets stacked with individual hygiene kits and other donations, courtesy of our friends at International Medical Corps (IMC) and Direct Relief.

Facilities Management Senior Director Eric Howard and Marketing Manager Ivan Bocanegra drove to San Angelo to deliver the much-needed supplies to our fellow Texas FQHC, La Esperanza Clinic. CEO Dean Munn and his team have been out in the community with their mobile unit, with anxiety and medication needs as top concerns.

"Texas Community Health Centers always rise to the cause and are part of the solution," said Munn. "We appreciate our friends at Legacy for making the six-hour drive here to bring us these supplies."

A heartfelt thank you to Team Legacy for truly bringing our mission to life— Driving healthy change in our communities!

Did you know social media may be reshaping how teens see themselves—and not always for the better? 📱🧠

During HCC’s Mental Health Monday, Vivian Echevarria Guzman, a school-based therapist with Legacy Community Health, shared how today’s teens are facing a new kind of pressure: the constant need to “keep up” with influencers and online trends.

Vivian, who provides therapy at KIPP Southwest Houston High School, sees students struggling with anxiety, impulsive spending, and emotional dissatisfaction, all tied to how they present themselves online.

This “altered version of reality,” as Vivian calls it, is shifting focus away from meaningful connections with family and community. At Legacy, we’re working to meet students where they are, offering mental health support right inside their schools.

Did you know 15–25% of kids and teens struggle to fall or stay asleep! 💤

Summer is here, and while the kids are excited for late nights and extra screen time, their sleep habits shouldn’t take a vacation! Poor sleep can lead to mood swings, trouble focusing, and even impact their health.

Lack of sleep can weaken the immune system, making kids more susceptible to colds and infections. It can also affect their ability to retain information, leading to difficulties in school and learning.

As parents, you can help set up a routine that keeps their sleep on track—even during summer break! 🌙✨

Check out our blog for expert tips on better bedtimes and healthier sleep habits for your little ones!

As a parent, you've probably heard about the importance of sleep, but have you really stopped to think about how much sleep your children are actually getting?
