Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 🍪 What a great reason to have cookies for everyone! What is your favorite, original Chips Ahoy or Chewy Chips Ahoy? The favorite today was Chewy Chips Ahoy, but they all were eaten in celebration.

Happy birthday! Today was our monthly resident birthday party. Sheryl Youngblood and her helpers set up an amazing party to help celebrate all of our July birthdays. We are very grateful for her and the whole team of volunteers.

Today we had our friends Christina, Velma and Dakota from Gentiva Hospice came to do an education and cotton candy activity. We had so much fun and the residents absolutely loved the cotton candy! Some of them said they had not had any since they were a child and they started reminiscing about their favorite memories of going to the fair and taking thie children to the fair or different festivals and getting them cotton candy. It was such a happy time for them. We look forward to our next visit from them.

Today our friends Christina, Velma and Dakota from Gentiva Hospice came to do an education game and cotton candy activity! They did a challenge to use as many scoops of candy mix as the stars they are rated and they sure did it. So we got a giant 5 star cotton candy ball! The residents loved the cotton candy and as always the ladies were so kind, fun and made sure we made enough for all staff and residents. We look forward to our next visit from these amazing ladies.

In arts and crafts we made the most beautiful bracelets! The residents were all so very proud of their new jewelry.

This week in arts & crafts we made color run paper flowers. We had great help from our friend Carrie with Harbor Hospice we had lots of laughs experimenting and then they enjoyed watching the colors fill out their flowers!
