Good Morning, Beautiful Friends ☀️♥️

Today, I just want to remind you of something deeply important:
You are WORTHY.

Worthy of love that sees past the pain.
Worthy of kindness, even when you’re hard on yourself.
Worthy of forgiveness for the moments you didn’t know better.
Worthy of compassion—for the battles no one else can see.

Even on the days when you feel broken or invisible, when that heavy voice whispers that you’re not enough…
I want you to look in the mirror, place your hand on your heart, and say: “I am worthy.”

Because you are. Always.

And if you need help believing it, step into the quiet presence of a horse.
These incredible beings don’t care about what you’ve done or what you’ve lost.
They don’t see your shame or your scars.

They see you.

Fully. Completely. Unconditionally.
They lean in when your soul needs grounding.
They remind you—without a single word—that you matter.

Let them teach you what it feels like to be accepted just as you are.
Let them guide you back to your worth.

Today, speak gently to yourself. Hold space for your healing.
And remember—you were never too much or not enough.
You’ve always been worthy.

Today, we bow our heads in remembrance. We honor the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the hearts still healing.

At Special CHEERS, we’ve seen how healing often begins in silence—in the soft nuzzle of a horse, the steady rhythm of hoofbeats, and the quiet moments where a person feels seen without ever saying a word.

For those who never made it home, we carry their memory.
For those who did, we walk beside them.

This Memorial Day, we remember with love, we grieve with gratitude, and we continue the work of healing—one heartbeat, one horse at a time. 🐴🇺🇸🪖

To conclude our mental health service spotlight…

Did you know? There’s a silent, powerful language spoken between a horse and a human when their hearts connect—one that requires no words, only presence. Horses have one of the largest heart fields of any land mammal, radiating electromagnetic energy up to five times greater than our own. When we’re near them, our heart rate, breathing, and even brain waves begin to synchronize with theirs.

This isn’t just beautiful—it’s deeply healing. The steady, rhythmic beat of a horse’s heart can calm the human nervous system, ease anxiety, and create a profound sense of safety and grounding. For those navigating trauma, stress, or emotional overwhelm, this connection offers more than comfort—it offers restoration. In the presence of a horse, we’re reminded of our wholeness, our worth, and the quiet power of simply being seen, felt, and understood.

If you or someone you know is in need, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to share more about our mental health services and how the healing power of horses can support your journey. 🧠🐴♥️

Continuing Our Mental Health Services Spotlight…

Did you know that some of the licensed mental health professionals at Special CHEERS not only offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), but also incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) into sessions?

EMDR is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process trauma and distressing life experiences. When paired with the therapeutic presence of horses, its impact deepens—creating a truly unique and transformative healing experience.

In an equine setting, EMDR can be integrated through gentle, rhythmic bilateral movements—such as walking alongside a horse or engaging in mindful tapping exercises. Horses provide a powerful sense of grounding and emotional regulation, helping clients feel safe, supported, and attuned throughout the process.

The benefits are profound: reduced anxiety, improved emotional regulation, greater clarity, and a renewed sense of calm and resilience—all within the natural, peaceful setting of our farm.

Healing doesn’t always happen in an office. Sometimes, it walks beside you on four hooves.
Interested in learning more about how EMDR and EAP work together? We’d be honored to share. 🐴🧠🌲

Good Morning, Lovely People!

Did you know that healing doesn’t always happen in an office? Sometimes, it happens in a pasture—beside a horse.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) offers a powerful, heart-centered approach to mental health, where healing is guided by both skilled therapists and the intuitive presence of horses. These incredible animals naturally mirror our emotions, helping us gain deeper insight into our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Working with horses can ease anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and build confidence through simple, meaningful interactions—like grooming, leading, or just being present together. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EAP incorporates movement and somatic awareness, allowing you to process trauma and stress with your whole body and mind.

Whether you’re seeking clarity, connection, or a sense of calm—our herd is here to help.

Curious about how horses can support your mental wellness? We partner with compassionate mental health professionals who offer EAP sessions using our incredible horses. Reach out—we’d love to walk this healing journey with you. 🐴🥰🧠

Did you know? Equine-assisted therapy (EAT) in the context of occupational therapy involves using the movement, interaction, and care of horses as a therapeutic tool to improve physical, emotional, cognitive, and sensory functions. This form of therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, trauma, and sensory processing disorders.

Key Benefits:
• Motor Skills Development: Riding and caring for horses improves balance, coordination, core strength, and fine motor skills.
• Sensory Regulation: The rhythmic movement of a horse provides calming sensory input, aiding in sensory integration and regulation.
• Cognitive Skills: Activities like grooming and riding routines promote focus, sequencing, and problem-solving abilities.
• Emotional Growth: Building a relationship with a horse fosters self-confidence, patience, empathy, and emotional regulation.
• Social Interaction: Working with horses often involves teamwork, enhancing communication and social skills in a non-threatening environment.

Occupational therapists use equine-assisted interventions to create goal-oriented, individualized sessions that are both therapeutic and enjoyable, helping clients engage more fully in daily life activities. 🐴🤠

The campaign launch is here 🚀—and we’re kicking it off with a story that hits close to home.

Veterinarians are the ones who care for our horses, pets, and farm animals. But they carry more than we often see—compassion fatigue, burnout, and financial restraints.

This powerful short video gives voice to their experience and reminds us that healing is possible.
Programs like ours are part of that healing. Horses are not just helping clients—they’re helping the caregivers, too.
We’re proud to stand in this movement. Watch the video, share it, and bring these stories into the light.
