“Recovery helped me rebuild a fractured relationship with myself. It taught me that I’m worthy of love, friendship, healing, and boundaries, not because I’m perfect, but because I’m human… It has given me my family back.”

Our residents came together to celebrate with Worthy of Love, and the evening was filled with laughter, music, and excitement. Now that we’ve consolidated our operations, it was especially meaningful to see all of our program participants gathered in one place, sharing in this beautiful moment of connection and celebration.

“Living in recovery has given me peace and stability, and it has strengthened my relationship with God. Out of that healing, I’ve found my true purpose, helping others who are walking the same path. Working in recovery allows me to give back what was freely given to me, and each day I see God’s hand at work in the lives of others. Recovery has not only restored my life, but it has also shown me that serving others is where my calling and my faith meet.”

Great news at Santa Maria! ✨ Yesterday we held our first Town Hall meeting since consolidating operations, and our hearts are full.

We came together to share organizational updates, highlight updates about our programs and mission, and spark real connection across departments so every team member has the tools, clarity, and support they need to grow.

We’re incredibly proud of our leadership for guiding this transition, and deeply grateful for our staff who bring the mission to life every day. We spotlighted staff recognitions & celebrations and celebrated big milestones, especially the successful move and our refreshed lobby.

Today, in honor of National Recovery Month, we celebrate the incredible journey of Coach Carol. 💜

“People do recover, no matter their age. I began at 48 after a moment that shook me and reminded me my granddaughter was watching. I wanted to be a good example for her and for generations to come. Twenty-two years into recovery, and seven years serving at Santa Maria, I get to give back what was freely given to me. Recovery restores lives, and legacies.”

Carol, thank you for turning healing into service, for modeling hope with compassion, and for lifting up women, children, and families every day. Your journey is a powerful reminder that recovery restores lives, and legacies.

It was an incredible opportunity to connect with over 24 agencies and facilities, building partnerships and gathering valuable resources to better serve the women, children and families in our care.
