Raised in San Antonio, Dr. Grunert came to Houston and graduated from Rice University. He stayed in Houston to attend medical school and earned his MD at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Naval Regional Medical Center, Oakland, and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of California San Francisco. He is board certified i
n Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG), a fellow of the American College of Surgeons FACS), and a founding member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART). Returning to Houston to begin private practice, Dr. Grunert established the IVF program at the Womanโs Hospital of Texas and Houston Fertility Specialists. He and Trudye have worked as a team to craft this world-class center. They have done pioneering work in the fields of genetic diagnosis, reproductive genetics and embryology. Dr. Grunert is proud and honored to have helped many patients from around the world realize their dream of having a family. He believes in a personal, individualized approach to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of infertility.
