Essential Peace Holistic Care Center

EPHCC believes in the use of massages, Reiki, and Young Living Essential Oils as natural methods to helping, and enhancing, our mind, body, and soul.

Essential Peace Holistic Care Center was created by mother and daughter, Evelyne Volny-Anne Nguyen and Adorina Stephanie Nguyen, in February 2016. Both have a strong belief that our bodies are capable of healing themselves with the right knowledge. Evelyne has been a nurse for over 20yrs and became a Reiki master in 2015. Adorina/Stephanie has been a massage therapist since 2014 and has an extensive background in dance of over 20yrs, which has aided her in the knowledge of the human body. Both have always been drawn (as well as experienced) to natural healing methods and decided to help others in the Houston area find a holistic approach to taking care of their health. For health is not just the mental and physical, but also the spiritual. When one is out of balance, so are the other two. In order to enhance each session, Evelyne and Adorina/Stephanie use 100% therapeutic-grade essential oils by Young Living. By using these therapeutic-grade essential oils, each client can be sure to get the most out of their massage and Reiki sessions. Evelyne and Adorina/Stephanie offer a FREE class on essential oils every last Saturday of the month. Visit their website for more information. Health & Happiness, Essential Peace Holistic Care Center

For all our wonderful clients, we miss hugging you!

Happy Birthday, America!! Stay safe this weekend and continue to follow the health safety guidelines!

It's crazy to think that it's been a little over one month now since we've re-opened!!

Thank you for being patient with us as we got used to a new routine in order to keep you, and everyone else, safe. During this process, we discovered what worked, and what didn't work, in order to keep you as comfortable as possible while still following health guidelines.

We appreciate you for helping us keep our space as clean as possible by cooperating with our new rules! We won't lie, that was one of our biggest fears about re-opening; that someone would make a huge fuss about the measures we're taking because of this virus. So, thank you again for being a sport!

📌 We have also made some significant modifications to our services. At the moment, we are NOT offering 30min or 120min sessions. We are also NOT offering cupping massages, hot stone massages, or in-person lamaze classes.

‼️ It was announced today that bars are shutting down again and that restaurants will be limiting their capacities. There is a chance that Essential Peace Holistic Care Center may be hit again soon. If you've been teetering on coming in for a session, (especially if you have prepaids!) we suggest scheduling your appointment ASAP, because we have no idea if the state will mandate for another closure. As of right now, Harris County is the worst in the country.

Fingers crossed that we're allowed to remain open, but be prepared that it might not be for very long. If you're looking for testing centers, the emergency clinic (Memorial Village ER) that's in the same shopping center as us, is offering drive-by testing from 9am-5pm.

Stay safe and we hope to see you soon!
P.S. We will be CLOSED on July 4th.

Happy Father’s Day to all our dads!! Whether you’re brand new, or have been in the game for a while, this day is for you.

Today, let us take the time to remember those who have sacrificed their lives in order to protect ours 🇺🇸

We're excited to announce that we will be reopening tomorrow, May 19! We got the green light today at 2pm with Gov. Abbott's announcement of his Phase 2 Plan to reopen Texas. As you know, we have been preparing for this reopening so that we may go through it smoothly.

We will be doing our part to keep you safe, so we ask that you please do your part to keep us safe as well.

‼️If you have a scheduled appointment for this week, we will be sending a separate email TODAY, with the online form for you to fill out prior to your scheduled appointment. To clarify, it needs to be filled out before you step into the office, so that we have a sufficient amount of time to go over the form and contact you if we have any questions.

⚠️Failure to fill out the form will result in your appointment being canceled with no refund.

Below, there is a link provided by the Governor for customer safety as well as our reopening rules. Please read over both of these links before your scheduled session, or scheduling your next appointment, so that you are not surprised by any of the new rules we are implementing.

Preparing to Reopen

If you missed our Zoom call earlier today, don't worry, we recorded it and have it available for you down below!

⚠️ PLEASE take the time to watch, or at least listen to, the video at some point.

There are a lot of new rules and procedures that we will be implementing when we reopen, as well as potential new rules that we might have to implement. It will be a much smoother transition for everyone if we're all on the same page.

💻 Zoom Replay:

You can also find the video on our website on the Schedule Now page, if you lose this email. We'll keep you updated!

P.S. I cut off the recording a little early before addressing gratuity:

If you'd like to leave a cash tip, please leave it on the table so that we may spray it with a disinfecting spray when we change the sheets. If you'd prefer to leave a credit tip, you can Venmo or Paypal us. We're trying to reduce touching credit cards and the iPad during check out.

This video was recorded from our Zoom call. In this video, we discuss our new and potential new rules/procedures for when we reopen our office. I cut off the...

We’ll be discussing new and potentially new rules/procedures for when we reopen!

⚠️ Again, we do not have an official reopening date, this is just to make the process easier for when it does happen.

Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation - TDLR

The newest Governor’s Executive Order (May 5) says that massage establishments remain closed until they are specifically added as a reopened service by proclamation or future executive order of the governor.

Under the Executive Order to Expand Openings of Certain Businesses and Activities issued by Gov. Greg Abbott on May 5, massage establishments are instructed to continue to remain closed until authorized to open by the Governor. The exception for medically-necessary massage, as determined by a client's doctor or chiropractor, remains in effect. Massage therapists may not provide massage services for general wellness or other non-medical necessity reasons.
This guidance is in accordance with Executive Orders GA-15 and GA-16 recently issued by Governor Abbott. Massage therapists should be aware of any orders issued in the county or city where the massage therapist practices, as these local orders may impose additional restrictions. The ability to provide massage therapy may change as further governmental orders are issued.

Please continue to check TDLR’s COVID-19 page for additional updates.

One of our new precautions will include our practitioners to wear new aprons over their uniforms for each client in order to reduce the chances of their clothes getting touched! Massage therapist and owner of EPHCC @adorina_nguyen, is hard at work beautifying these plain aprons!

Gov. Abbott announced yesterday that barbershops, hair salons, nail salons, and tanning salons will be allowed to reopen this Friday, May 8. We’ve been reading over his order and he did NOT mention massage.

Gyms will be allowed to reopen on May 18, however he still didn’t say anything about massage. We’re keeping a lookout and seeing what TDLR says related to massage therapy.

Gov. Abbott:

Don’t forget that our Zoom call is tomorrow at 2pm! We’ll be discussing our reopening plans for how to keep you and us safe for when we can open again.

❓Q&A Form:

Again, we do not know when we will be allowed to re-open! This is just for preparation to make the transition easier for you and us for when that day does happen. We will know for sure on May 18 when Gov. Abbott announces his Phase 2 plan for when we can re-open.

Thank you for understanding! As Texas begins to gradually re-open, we are taking all the necessary precautions to keep you (our client) and us (your practitioners) safe. Cosmetology Salons, Nail Salons, Estheticians, Mini-Salons and Massage Therapy Establishments Remain Closed

Under Executive Order GA-18 ( issued by Gov. Greg Abbott on April 27, all cosmetology salons (including nail salons, estheticians, and mini-salons), barber shops, and massage establishments shall continue to remain closed. Executive Order GA-18 overrides all local and county orders.

Whether a salon or shop is a sole proprietorship or not, they are to remain closed until Executive Order GA-18 is amended or rescinded.

Thank you for continuing to do your part to keep Texas safe by remaining closed. To read more about the Governor's plan to reopen Texas, please go here:

We've been patiently waiting to see what new information Governor Abbott was going to release today in response to businesses reopening, and we're sad to announce that our area of business will NOT be allowed to reopen on May 1.
Governor Abbott announced that hopefully salons, barbershops, gyms, etc. might be able to reopen mid-May. He will revisit with businesses of those categories at that time.
If you scheduled an appointment the first two weeks of May (May 1-May 16), please log into your account and reschedule your session. We will allow everyone to reschedule their sessions until Wednesday, April 29, after that, we will automatically cancel your appointment.
If you have a prepaid or gift certificate session booked, the cancelled appointment will go back into your account or will be put as a credit in your account. You will not lose it!
We hope that we can reopen in mid-May (May 19), but we will have to see what Governor Abbott announces at that time. We will extend our 20% OFF Gift Certificates to May 18.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us!

We are on the lookout for what Governor Abbott decides on which business will be allowed to reopen. He is supposed to announce on Monday, April 27 the next steps of his plan, so we will see if we are part of that decision.
As of right now, our May calendar is open for scheduling appointments, but please keep in mind, if we are required to remain closed, we will have to cancel all May appointments.
Our 20% OFF Gift Certificates are still available! With each gift certificate purchased, the recipient will also receive a FREE add-on when they book their appointment.

We'll keep you updated next week as new information is released! In the meantime, we hope you're doing well and that you and your family are safe and healthy!
