Communicate with patients, physicians, and others with a high level of customer service. Must have knowledge of insurance, eligibility verification process; have knowledge of deductibles and coinsurance for primary and secondary policies. The ability to document clearly, work with computers and simple devices, prioritize time and complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision. This role also involves dispensing, sets-up, and providing instructions to patients on the proper use of equipment such as CPAP, Bi-PAP, and other complex equipment and ensures that patients can effectively operate and maintain equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Verification of insurance to determine eligibility for supplies, diagnostic testing and or machine set-ups.
- Complete PA’s (Prior Authorizations) with insurance, as necessary.
- Facilitate the communication between the patient, physician and insurance as required to meet the needs and expectations of the patient.
- Schedule appointments for re-supply, diagnostic testing, and machine set-ups.
Instruct patient on proper use of equipment such as CPAP, Bi-PAP, and other complex equipment and ensures that patients can effectively operate and maintain equipment.
- Answer patient questions related to insurance, diagnostic testing and DME equipment.
- Respond to patient inquiries and requests in a timely manner working with other staff members to expedite service whenever possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and storage area.
Monitor CPAP Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients.
- Arrange for supplies to be shipped to the patient as needed.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of working in a medical office is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of insurance verification experience is required.
- eClinical Works experience preferred.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
Pay to commensurate with experience.
