Here’s a simple truth: you lose a lot of fluid through your breath in the winter, but your brain is less likely to tell you you're thirsty. Dehydration leads to fatigue, and fatigue leads to skipped workouts. Keeping your energy up starts with your water intake.

Don't wait until you're thirsty. Keep a water bottle in sight all day. If ice-cold water feels unappealing, try warm herbal tea or room-temperature water with lemon.

When the weather is a wild card, move your movement indoors where you can control the "climate." If you usually run or walk outside, have an "indoor backup" plan ready so you don't have to think twice when the weather turns.

If you want a body that works better and lasts longer, you have to prioritize the "prime." Spend an extra 5–10 minutes on dynamic mobility (think leg swings and arm circles) before you add any weight. Give your joints a chance to wake up.
