The Structural Heart and Cardiovascular Program at The University of Texas Health and Science Center – McGovern Medical School and Memorial Hermann Hospital – Heart and Vascular Institute is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers including physicians specializing in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Cardiac Imaging. The program offers services to care fo

r the complex needs of patients with structural heart and cardiovascular diseases. These services include but are not limited to:
• minimally invasive treatment for patients with valve disease
• congenital heart disease
• cardiac abnormalities in which the patient is not eligible for invasive therapeutic procedures. Our team of Interventional Cardiologists are experts in the following minimally invasive procedures to treat heart disease:
• Coronary and Peripheral Angioplasty
• Rotational atherectomy
• Clot extraction technology
• Percutaneous closure of congenital heart defects
• Valvuloplasty
